1. "What exactly is an asset inventory?"
In short, every company is obliged to carry out an inventory. Legislation requires the company to be able to prove whether the acquired assets are still in the company and, if so, where they are located. The aim of inventory is to identify inventories and assets on a specific reporting date. Asset inventory focuses on the entire fixed assets of the company, e. g. office furniture, computers or machines. An inventory is not only important for the government - it also benefits your company. For example, you can correct deficits, gain a better overview of your inventory and avoid wasting resources within the company.

3. “Which labels should I use?”
Inventory labels are mandatory by law, but which type of labels you want to use is entirely up to you. Choosing your labels is entirely dependent on your requirements and expectations. From barcode labels to smart RFID labels, there are a million choices when it comes to choosing labels for your inventorying process. However, all labels should be durable for a long time, making it easier to track inventories. There are two basic label kinds: The barcode of the label gives information about the asset number, purchase price, location and much more. With the help of RFID labels, you can also save time and costs due to a very fast reading process, since there is no need for visual contact to the inventory item.
4. Is it possible to use seventhings as a management tool?
It makes sense to check your inventory more than once a year. This way you always have an overview of your current assets and know exactly where they are located. Efficient inventory management minimizes the waste of resources in companies, since no unnecessary investments are made in e. g. new computers or other hardware

5. What hardware do I need to get started?
